Homegroup

We meet in small groups, to encourage one another in reading the Bible, with the day, time, frequency and venue depending on the individual group’s arrangements. This flexible approach enables groups to arrange their meetings so that members can be involved as much as practicable and the group’s programme can be varied to include: fellowship, discipleship, worship, ministry and mission. Our Mid-Week Meetings are entitled Belonging to a small group is an important part of Christian discipleship and can be a vital ‘oasis’ in the midst of our weeks and a supportive encouragement in our busy lives.

We all meet together on the first Wednesday evening of each month in the Church Hall. We call these meetings '242' after Acts 2:42 where we read that the first Christians “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (Bible study for us), fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.

People arrive from 7.45pm onwards to share refreshments or food together and the main programme starts at 8.00pm, aiming to end by 9.15pm. There is no expectation or pressure for anyone to join in anything that feels uncomfortable to them. This is a key time in our life together and so we hope that many in the church family will come along, whether involved in any small group or not.
